Meet Bryce! Bryce has been with Soren for seven and a half years and plays an important role as an Account Manager on our team. Bryce is a perfect example of the Soren Core Value “Embrace the Journey” because he has worked hard over the years to accept numerous changes and find a way to meet the needs of his customers, as well as be a valuable and trusted employee. Soren President, Jason Buchanan, says: “Bryce has been one of our top performing Account Manager for many years. He currently manages some of the most challenging accounts within our office and continues to grow their business each year. He has earned the trust and confidence in his customers because he values understanding the distinctive details of each customer’s business operations and identifying the opportunities to help them improve their processes or systems. We appreciate his example and contributions to the organization.” We are thrilled to have Bryce here at Soren and are proud to spotlight him this month!

Here is a little more about Bryce:

Tell us a little bit about your family

I have eight children, four to 18 years of age. All are born on odd years from 2003 to 2017. I have five boys and three girls. My boys are much easier, but my girls are much cuter!

Where is your favorite place to be?

I love to be at home with my family or on a road trip with the same crew!

What is your favorite movie or TV show?

I like “The Count of Monte Cristo” because the intrigue, craftiness and karma was well played.

If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Mountain Man Hash (hashbrowns, sausage, bacon, eggs, onions, salsa, sour cream)

If you could meet anyone living or dead, who would it be?

Jesus Christ–who wouldn’t? He’s kind of a big deal!

If you were stuck on an island what three things would you bring?

My wife to cook for me, my kids to clean up after me, and my couch to sleep on! Oh wait, that’s just a dream! Reality would be my tool box, my wallet and a computer. No time for dreaming!

People would be surprised if they knew…

I am number seven of 16 children, and my siblings are all my best friends! Yes, we did have a TV and antenna. Yes, “the folks” knew what was causing the babies. My dad was a high school teacher. My mom is one of the most patient people I know! We carpooled in two VW buses everywhere we went as a family. Good times!

Additional questions:

How is Soren different than other companies you’ve worked for?

Every day is an adventure! Freight never stops and so the adventure continues (for better or worse–you choose)!

Which Soren core value means the most to you and why?

“You Control Your Progression” because there is a lot of opportunity to be creative and rewarding and to see growth from a coordinated plan.

Do you have any advice for new or potential Soren employees?

Be a value-add to your customer. Make it easy and a pleasure to do business with you.
