Summary/Objective: 

As an account manager, you are a crucial element to our existing customers. The main focuses will be to oversee the capacity analysts that are assisting you with the day to day operations of existing customer accounts and align them analytically with the customer to meet their logistics needs. You will also be responsible for continuing the development of building a stronger, long-term relationship with key contacts of those existing customer accounts by providing new services, expanding on existing services offered, focus on increasing efficiencies, adding value, and maximizing profitability. 

Training Program: 

As an account manager for Soren, you will be enrolled in a 2-month onboarding training program which will start your knowledge of Soren, our industry, and ensure your proficiency in our systems and processes. This training will be a mix of activities, self-guided learning as well as in-office coaching and mentoring. Training will include elements that will help to ensure you are confident and skilled to be part of our success as a high performing member of our team. 

Essential Functions: 

  • Serve as primary point of contact for customers and develop account relationships at multiple levels within organization 
  • Identify opportunities to further penetrate accounts by improving their supply chain challenges or offering other logistic solutions 
  • Stay informed about the changes in the industry and customer’s business to identify new opportunities with that information 
  • Oversee day to day operations  
  • Develop pricing strategies by using internal tools and resources 
  • Manage customer expectations through the creation and utilization of metrics 
  • Identify issues and consult with the customer to determine the best course of action and implement solutions 

     Competencies: 

    • 2 years of 3PL experience required
    • A proven track record of growing accounts at a 3PL
    • Commitment to outstanding customer service 
    • Strong ability to persuade, motivate, and influence others 
    • Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal 
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
    • Excellent critical thinking and advanced problem-solving abilities 
    • Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast pace environment 
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 
    • Enthusiastic, persistent, and confident approach 
    • Willingness to travel as needed 
    • 3-4 years of sales operations, customer service, or related experience 
    • A hungry, capable team player 

        Education: 

        • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
