Sales Internship

Soren - Houston, TX

Opportunity

The Soren Sales Internship focuses on providing a well-rounded experience working for a third-party logistics company with a primary focus on new customer sales. Interns will first receive training designed to introduce them to the supply chain industry and Soren’s role within it. Training will mainly focus on developing industry knowledge, Soren operations, and B2B sales techniques used to identify, qualify, and schedule meetings with potential customers.

Once training has been completed, Sales Interns will be tasked with identifying potential qualified leads and scheduling discovery calls. From that point on, they will partner with Account Executives to progress their deals through the sales cycle with the goal of closing a new customer by the end of their internship.

In addition to hands-on sales experience, interns will also work on weekly projects which will include developing marketing materials, market research and report generation, pricing forecast exercises, and presenting an overall value-add solution to Soren.

What will you be doing

    • Identifying and generating new sales opportunities through lead qualification, identifying key decision makers, and scheduling discovery calls to initiate the sales process
    • Shadowing Account Executives throughout the sales cycle of various deals
    • Assisting Account Executives by sourcing solutions for various opportunities
    • Market research projects to produce reports on market events and their potential impact on Soren and our customers
    • Internship project consisting of presenting a new solution or value-add to Soren

      • Strong customer service and relationship building skills
      • Comfortable making 80+ cold calls per day
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
      • Ability to remain resilient in a competitive environment
      • Ability to make contact with assertive, influential, positive, and persistent style
      • Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment 
      • Understand the importance of self-motivation, time-management, and organizational skills
