Last winter’s heavy rainfalls have delayed quite a few harvests and damaged crops causing shortages and price hikes. For consumers, this means higher produce prices in the grocery store. However, for shippers, this has caused a more mellow start to produce season and much less of a spike in truckload rates out of the west coast.
