Meet Dillon! Dillon has been with Soren for almost a year and plays an important role as an Account Executive on our team. Dillon is a perfect example of the Soren Core Value “Embrace the Journey” because he has grasped the opportunities provided here and risen to new heights in a short amount of time, growing from a Business Development Representative to an Account Executive in in just nine months! Sales Manager Jake says: “Dillon exemplifies what it takes to be successful in this industry. As one of the fastest promotions we’ve had to the Account Executive level, Dillon has a way of creating solid relationships with each of his customers and quickly identifying where he can make the best impact within their supply chain. He’s proven to be more than capable at handling both moments of opportunity and moments of struggle with the professionalism and confidence of someone who’s been in this business much longer than he has. There’s little doubt in my mind that Dillon will grow quickly with Soren and be a great role model for each sales rep that follows in his footsteps.” We are thrilled to have Dillon as part of the Soren Team and are proud to spotlight him this month!

Here are some fun facts about Dillon:

Tell us a little bit about your family . . .

I’m the oldest of 2 siblings (younger sister). I owe much of who/how I am to my parents- who have always helped to guide and support my growth in life.

Where is your favorite place to be?

Anywhere outdoors — I love the Texas Hill Country and make it a point to head to Fredericksburg, Johnson City, etc. as often as I can afford to.

What is your favorite movie or TV show?

Currently, “Yellowstone”

If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Steak and Potatoes

If you could meet anyone living or dead, who would it be?

Teddy Roosevelt

If you were stuck on an island what three things would you bring?

A flint (firestarter), a hatchet, and the Bible

People would be surprised if they knew. . .

May be not surprising- but as much as I enjoy being social, I equally enjoy time to myself.

What brought you to Soren?

The people and the opportunity to grow

How is Soren different than other companies you’ve worked for?

Soren has an extraordinary company culture. I haven’t been here long enough to understand whether that’s been forged or whether it’s entirely organic. Either way, you spend at least 1/3 of your life at work. It’s important to spend that time with people you enjoy, and people who make you better.

Which Soren core value means the most to you and why?

Results the right way — if a job’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well. It’s a waste of everyone’s time and effort to just check a box. I believe in getting the job done right- not just getting it done.

Do you have any advice for new or potential Soren employees?

Embrace the challenge and attack each day. There are many jobs much easier than ours- but “nothing in the world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain, difficulty… I have never in my life envied a human being who led an easy life.”
