LTL and Parcel Specialist

As an LTL/parcel specialist you will work with our internal operations teams and both new and current customers. The main focus of this position is to act as the main point of contact of managing and ensuring the accuracy of LTL and parcel operations such as updating customer information, scheduling and building loads, quoting rates, and updating load status using our technology systems. You will also be responsible for prospecting and closing new potential clients in addition to growing our current customer accounts by providing problem solving resolutions, outstanding customer service, and developing impactful relationships.

As a LTL/parcel specialist for Soren, you will be enrolled in a 2-month onboarding training program which will start your knowledge of Soren, our industry, and ensure your proficiency in our systems and processes. This training will include elements that will make you confident and skilled as you perform your job along the way. You will come out of this experience ready to be part of the success of growing Soren and a high performing member of our team.

What will you be doing

  • Provide excellent customer service and develop strong relationships with our customer contacts and LTL/parcel carriers on a daily basis
  • Identify and understand potential or current customer’s processes and shipping needs in addition to identifying areas of improvement
  • Generate and maintain up-to-date and accurate customer records and shipment documents
  • Schedule and build loads
  • Tracking, tracing, follow-up with shipments on Soren’s technology systems
  • Communicating status update and any transit issues to respective parties in a timely manner
  • Provide shipment information
  • Manage customer’s shipments volume intake
  • Resolve class and re-weigh disputes
  • Manage carrier invoicing and adjustments
  • Track LTL and parcel carriers and resolve issues
  • Developing, maintaining, and managing new client relationships via email, phone, and face to face contact
  • Note: majority of new client relationships contact is by phone
