If you’re a truck driver that has been postponing a repair on your brakes, now is the time to get them fixed. Next week, August 22-28, is Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s (CVSA) Brake Safety Week. During the 2021 International Road check this past May, out of more than 40,000 commercial trucks checked in Canada, Mexico, and the United States, inspectors removed a little over 6,700 trucks due to safety violations. Brake systems accounted for 26.5% of the violations. Expect possible delays next week due to the brake safety week and the increased presence of inspectors at weight stations and pre-selected inspection sites. At Soren, we believe truck safety is a year-round issue. We qualify carriers to make sure that they are taking the necessary precautions to ensure that your load will get to your customer on time and without unexpected issues.
