Here are some fun facts about Tan:
What brought you to Soren?
The people at Soren is what brought me here. I felt welcomed when I first started here, and I continue to receive support whenever I need it. It’s very easy to enjoy my time here as everyone is extremely laid back and friendly. However, when it’s time to get things done, everyone knows how to work hard and push each other to accomplish our goals.
How is Soren different than other companies you’ve worked for?
The leadership here at Soren is one of the highest I have experienced. I feel they know how to motivate their employees, celebrate their successes, and provide support and the tools necessary to succeed.
Which Soren core value means the most to you and why?
Teamwork drives our success is a core value that I think will push myself and Soren to reach our goals. Having teammates, you can trust, work efficiently with, and communicate well with can truly allow for top tier production. If everyone is performing their best and working well together, we all win together.
Do you have any advice for new or potential Soren employees?
My advice to anyone starting here is to work hard and work smart. Your accomplishments will be recognized. (Also, have a salad every once in a while, for lunch. I have gained like 15lbs in a few months.)
Tell us a little bit about your family…
My family and I moved to the US from Vietnam when I was 5 years old. My parents had my little sister when I was 13 so there is quite an age gap between us.
Where is your favorite place to be?
My favorite place to be is in the comfort of my own room.
What is your favorite movie or TV show?
I have watched too many shows to narrow them down to a single favorite. Some of my top ones would include The Office, Game of Thrones, Rick and Morty, Hunter x Hunter, and a plethora of anime.
If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Such a difficult choice. I’ll say the chicken and shrimp carbonara with a Caesar salad from Olive Garden, but there’s a hundred things I would like just as much as that.
If you could meet anyone living or dead, who would it be?
I would want to meet Elon Musk and I would ask him for a Tesla.
If you were stuck on an island what three things would you bring?
I would bring a solar powered boat, the biggest possible container I could fit on the boat filled with water, and a fishing net.
People would be surprised if they knew…
I like to paint in my free time (even though I’m not very good at it).
